Jon Willmott and Neil Sheppard headed to Brisbane and the Gold Coast in March, spending almost a week meeting with key contacts, and attending the Underwriting Agencies Council (UAC) Expo to fly the Keystone flag. Several useful discussions were held to negotiate business expansion in the region. Partnerships with brokers have been significantly enhanced and we are delighted to be a key supporter for these businesses. The Expo was a great success giving Keystone another opportunity to meet with the Gold Coast insurance community more broadly.
April was a busy month with some important developments. Keystone has expanded with the exciting appointments of two new staff.
Chloe Raleigh has joined the team as Keystone’s Claims Manager. We are delighted to be able to establish this in-house claims management role, which provides timely claims processing. We have already witnessed the professionalism and experience of Chloe in action, with claims very quickly assessed and dealt with, to the immense satisfaction of brokers and clients involved. Chloe is a lawyer with comprehensive experience in claims management in the insurance field and has managed a team of claims lawyers in her most recent role.
Keystone has been delighted to welcome Georgia Brown in April as our latest recruit. She has been enjoying the varied nature of her new insurance role, getting used to the systems and processing, and becoming familiar with the broad product offering. She brings experience from the finance field having worked in the banking sector for several years. We look forward to continuing to work with her in the years ahead.
Meanwhile, Ben Gray flew to Canberra to run the Keystone stand at the April UAC Expo. There was a good level of attendance and interest in Keystone, and our blue socks with the Keystone logo were well received!
More of our staff were on the move in April with Neil and Felicity heading to London. They spent a couple of weeks meeting with underwriting and insurance partners to discuss the flow of current business and to arrange some new avenues for existing lines. There were very fruitful discussions around the potential for new products which has resulted in work over the past months to prepare Keystone for the introduction of these to the Australian market. More news on this soon.
The Melbourne UAC Expo was again held in the Crown Ballroom on 19th May, with more than half the Keystone team in attendance. It was great to see new faces to introduce ourselves to brokers who may not have heard of us before, and to let them know of the comprehensive range of products we are able to offer, together with our focus on service. There were also many brokers who deal with us regularly who came by our stand to say hello; a great opportunity to catch up and get the latest on the happenings with their clients and to discuss how our team can help.
The Keystone Team.
