KeyNotes – Quarter 1 2026
April 10, 2026Celebrating our People
In October we celebrated Nick Thexton reaching his one-year milestone at Keystone. Nick has demonstrated strong commitment to his role, with a clear appetite for General Liability and a focus on delivering reliable outcomes for our broker partners. We thank him for his contribution to date and look forward to his continued growth with the team.
October also marked Lily Tudor’s first year at Keystone. Lily continues to make a valued contribution at Keystone, bringing a strong focus and genuine interest in Allied Health. Her understanding of the sector and support for tailored insurance solutions helps deliver meaningful outcomes for our broker partners and clients. We appreciate her ongoing dedication and look forward to her continued impact within the team.

In November we welcomed Saffron Bourke to the Keystone family as our new Administration Assistant. Bringing not only her organisational skills and positive energy, but also her impressive talent for our daily team trivia (a highly valued skill around here!). We’re thrilled to have Saffron on board and look forward to the many contributions she’ll bring to the team. We also welcomed Aaron Cross in December as an Administration Assistant. Aaron brings a wealth of experience in detail-oriented work, as well as a passion for apocalypse movies, to the team and has quickly become a reliable team member. Welcome to you both!
Celebrating Keystone
We’re incredibly proud to be recognised in the 2025 Insurance Business Brokers on Underwriting Agencies Awards, achieving results in both the Not-for-Profit and Product Liability categories. This recognition reflects the trust our broker partners place in Keystone and the dedication of our team to delivering responsive, reliable, and relationship-driven underwriting support. A huge thank you to the brokers who voted and to our team for continually raising the bar. We look forward to continuing to build strong partnerships, support our clients, and grow together throughout 2025.

Culture and Community
Keystone 2025 Christmas Party
The Keystone team wrapped up 2025 in style with our annual Christmas party, featuring a fantasy-themed murder mystery twist! From detectives to suspects, everyone embraced their roles, creating plenty of laughs and a few dramatic reveals along the way. It was a wonderful celebration of another fantastic year together, highlighting our teamwork, growth, and shared successes. The event was a reminder of the great culture we continue to foster at Keystone, and we look forward to making even more memories and achieving new milestones in 2026! Also, if you’re wondering who done it… it was Lily.

Visit to World Travel Protection Command Centre
We had the privilege of visiting the World Travel Protection Command Centre in Brisbane alongside some of our valued broker partners. The behind-the-scenes tour offered an inside look at how the Emergency Assistance team supports Keystone’s Corporate Travel clients around the globe, from real-time medical case management to complex international evacuations. The expertise, dedication, and care on display were truly impressive. A huge thank you to the WTP team for hosting us and sharing the critical work they do every day, and to our brokers for joining us. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, learn, and deepen our understanding of how we can continue to provide exceptional support for your clients.
KeyWins Cup Tennis Match
Ben recently took to the Melbourne Park courts, home of the Australian Open, for an exciting tennis match against Chris Francis from Amwins, visiting from London, as part of the inaugural KeyWins Cup. The match supported a great cause, with Amwins generously donating $500 to the endangered Orange-Bellied Parrots through Wildcare Tasmania. It was a fantastic day of friendly competition, camaraderie, and giving back, with the next KeyWins Cup match already planned for London.
Afternoon at Cheltenham Golf Course
Ben had the pleasure of hosting Alex Haynes from Amwins, who was also visiting from London, for an afternoon game at the Cheltenham Golf Course. Despite a day of awful weather, the pair enjoyed connecting over the game, sharing insights, and strengthening professional relationships. It was a fantastic opportunity to combine a love of golf with meaningful conversation, reflecting Keystone’s commitment to building strong, lasting partnerships across the industry.
Speak and Share Fun Run 2025
Keystone proudly joined the Speak and Share Fun Run for the third year, this time stepping up our support by sponsoring a drink station and welcoming an even bigger team to the event! Our team hit the Rosebud foreshore alongside runners and walkers, full of energy and enthusiasm to support mental health awareness. The day was a powerful reminder of the importance of rallying behind this cause, helping to break stigma and raise vital funds for the community. Events like this not only promote wellbeing but also strengthen our team spirit as we cheer each other on, step by step. We’re proud to support such a meaningful initiative and look forward to continuing our commitment to mental health in our communities.
