Jon Willmott, Director
When did you join Keystone?
I joined Keystone in Feb 2021.
What is your role at Keystone and what does a typical day look like for you?
My role as Director involves plenty of travelling to meet with our brokers. Dependant on my plans I may be in the car or travelling interstate for most of it, though outside of those meetings I’m likely to be on the phone discussing opportunities or liaising with the guys back at the office to arrange a quote or bind terms as soon as possible.
If not travelling, then I’ll be working on new business quotes and anything else that’s needed to keep the business moving forward.
What was your first impression when you joined Keystone?
Moving back from the corporate scene, I noticed how intimate the company is, but in a good way. There’s a real sense of collaboration and a willingness for everyone to help each other. It’s great.
What do you like most about Keystone?
Our ability to make quick decisions. We’re also really focused on our availability and hold long-standing relationships as the key to our success. That way our brokers feel confident that they know who to call and that they are always dealing with the decision-maker.
If you could have dinner with anyone – who would it be and why?
My mates from back in the UK. Always great to catch up with them over a curry and a few beers.
What movie did you last watch?
The Gentleman and another favourite is Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels. I like UK crime comedy movies or anything with Michael J Fox in it is a winner.
