Meet the team Q&A – Neil Sheppard

When did you start Keystone?
Myself, David Jones and John King founded Keystone in Feb 2020. I was nervous about starting Keystone. I walked the kids to school in the morning and then I headed for home thinking to myself ‘what now’.  Amazingly the phone rang before I got home.  It was a broker after an urgent quote and thankfully the phone and emails haven’t stopped since then.

What is your proudest moment at Keystone?
I’m proud of starting Keystone and also of the great team we have.

What is your role at Keystone and what does a typical day look like for you?
I am the Managing Director at Keystone. A typical day starts with actioning any emails from London overnight.  Then I will check any reminders I have set myself for the day and look at my calendar.  I like to be organised.  Then it is a matter of working through the emails and trying to get as much done as possible!

What do you like most about Keystone?
The team.  Heaps of knowledge and experience together with enthusiasm.  Importantly we all get along.  Everything else takes care of itself when you have a great team. 

If you could have dinner with anyone – who would it be and why?
Arnold Schwarzenegger.  Athlete, Movie star and Politician – so much to talk about.

What is your favourite game or sport to watch and/or play?
Personally, I like playing all sports.  I enjoy kicking the footy, playing basketball or even table tennis or pool.  A bit of everything.  On TV I like AFL.
