Welcome to our end-of-year newsletter (can you believe it!). Keystone has experienced some rapid growth and amazing opportunities in the last few months, bringing the year to a fantastic close!
Chloe visits London
Keystone’s Claims Manager, Chloe, had the opportunity early in the quarter to visit stakeholders in London. The trip strengthened our relationships and provided valuable insights into how we can better collaborate with our international partners to improve claims management. She then spent some time in Italy where she managed to flood her apartment, but still got out for a 15km run! Dedication!
Aviso Broking Breast Ever Lunch
Susann and Michelle represented Keystone at the Aviso Broking Breast Ever Lunch in Brisbane, supporting breast cancer awareness. The event highlighted the importance of community involvement, and served as a meaningful reminder of the power of collective efforts for a worthy cause.
Mark Hayden Visits the Melbourne Office
We were delighted to host Mark Hayden from Amlin at our office. His visit provided a chance to exchange ideas and share updates on key initiatives, reinforcing our commitment to global teamwork and communication.
New Team Members Join Keystone
We were excited to welcome two new additions to our team in October! Nicholas Thexton joined as an Administration Assistant, and Natalie Baker stepped into the role of Finance Manager. Both bring a wealth of skills and enthusiasm, and we’re thrilled to have them on board.
UAC in Tasmania
John King attended the UAC event in Tasmania, connecting with brokers and gaining valuable industry insights. It was an excellent opportunity to reinforce professional relationships and showcase our services to the Tasmanian market. Not bad scenery either!
NIBA Convention in Adelaide
Jon and Neil had the honour of attending the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) Convention in Adelaide. The event was a fantastic platform for networking and staying informed about emerging trends in the industry.
Diwali Festival Celebration
Ben and Felicity celebrated the vibrant Diwali Festival in North Melbourne as guests of Consolidated Insurance Agencies broking firm. It was a great opportunity to appreciate cultural diversity and build connections in a more festive and informal setting.
Kaleb Returns from London
Kaleb has returned to Keystone after completing his secondment in London! He has effortlessly settled back into his role and is enthusiastically applying the insights and experiences gained during his time abroad to our local operations. Welcome back Kaleb!
UAC Perth Networking Event
Kaleb and Michelle represented Keystone at the UAC event in Perth, where they made some fantastic connections with brokers. This event provided an excellent platform to strengthen industry relationships and discuss new opportunities for collaboration.
Festive Cheer at the Office
Keystone’s Christmas committee went all out this year, transforming the office into a festive wonderland. The decorations bring a warm and cheerful atmosphere to the workplace, making it a special way to wrap up the year. Thanks Christmas committee!
Welcome to Lily and Jess
We just kept growing this quarter with two more additions to the team. We were excited to welcome Lily Tudor to the Keystone team in October as our new Administration Assistant. Her energy and dedication have already made a positive impact, and we’re thrilled to have her join us. Additionally, Jessica Kettle has joined our Brisbane team this month as Underwriter. She brings a wealth of experience and a hard-work ethic, welcome Jess!
Keystone Planning and Strategy Day
We held our Keystone Planning and Strategy Day, a fantastic opportunity to reflect on our culture and values while charting a path for the future. The day left the team feeling aligned, motivated, and ready to take on the new year with a shared vision.
Keystone Christmas Party and Murder Mystery
This year’s Christmas party was unforgettable, featuring a thrilling murder mystery event! The “murderer” turned out to be a certain Underwriter in a twist that caught everyone off guard! (Can you guess who? Hint – he returned to the office from the UK this quarter!) It was a fun and engaging way to celebrate the year and foster team camaraderie.
Speak and Share Fun Run
Keystone once again sponsored the Speak and Share Fun Run on the Rosebud foreshore, lacing up our running/walking shoes to support mental health awareness. It was a fantastic opportunity to come together for an important cause, raising funds and showing our commitment to breaking the stigma around mental health. The event was not only a chance to promote wellness, but also to strengthen our bonds as a team, cheering each other on every step of the way. We’re proud to have contributed to such a meaningful initiative and look forward to continuing our efforts to support mental health in the community.
Surfing Lessons
The team hit the waves for surfing lessons at Urbansurf, organised by our resident surfer and Claims Manager, Chloe. Everyone had fun whether participating or observing as we stepped out of our comfort zones and ended the year on a high note. The weather was perfect and we finished the evening with dinner nearby.
Dungeons and Dragons in the Office
The team stepped into a world of imagination and adventure with a spirited game of Dungeons and Dragons. Guided by Georgia, a seasoned Dungeon Master, we took on heroic roles, tackled mythical challenges, and shared plenty of laughs along the way. The game was a great way to unwind, build camaraderie, and showcase the team’s creativity and problem-solving skills in a whole new light. It was an experience that reminded us how fun and rewarding it is to step outside of our usual routines and embrace a bit of fantasy together!
We reflect on what has been an incredible journey this year — not just for the growth of Keystone, but for the people who make it all possible. This year has been marked by significant achievements, new opportunities, and personal milestones across the team. We have welcomed new faces and celebrated career advancements, fostered connections at industry events, and built team spirit through shared experiences. 2024 has truly been a year of collaboration and progress. Together, we have achieved key goals and strengthened the culture and values that define Keystone. Here’s to celebrating our collective success and looking forward to an even brighter 2025!
We wish everyone a happy holiday season in whichever way you celebrate, and hope that you all enjoy a period of well-deserved rest.
Thank you to everyone for a great year!
