Kaleb Forster, Underwriter
When did you join Keystone? What were you doing beforehand?
I joined Keystone in February 2018. Beforehand I was studying Finance and Economics at University.
What is your role at Keystone and what does a typical day look like for you?
My role is as an Underwriting Assistant and a typical day involves quoting new business and renewals, processing endorsements and binding and issuing documents.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
I thoroughly enjoy communicating with Brokers to find solutions for any specific coverage issues they may have. It’s great to be able to build relationships with a number of different brokers and be able to point them in the right direction to one of our experienced team if it’s something I can’t assist with.
What makes Keystone special in comparison to other places you’ve worked?
Definitely the people and the culture we are building. I’m lucky to work with such a knowledgeable team who care for one another and are always available to assist with any queries or issues I may have.
What is your proudest moment at Keystone?
Being promoted from an administration assistant to an underwriting assistant was very special for me. Since joining I’ve learnt an enormous amount about the insurance industry and it was great to see that my efforts towards learning and contributing to the team were appreciated! I definitely look forward to furthering my career with Keystone.
If you were stuck on an island, what three things would you bring?
My Guitar, Golf Clubs and an 18 hole golf course (is that allowed)?
What is the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
I worked as a garbage truck washer for over 8 years. May not be the most glamourous job but if anyone ever needs the best car wash they’ve ever seen I’m your guy!
